Speed as you approach jumps is key, too. What physics setting do you have it on? Realistic takes a lot of getting used to if you're not familiar with Milestone's MX games. If you haven't given up on the game or made vast improvements by now, I'd recommend running around the compound tracks to get a feel for the controls. I'll either tap the front brake or let the engine slow me down. Not all corners require you to shift your body weight to one side. I’m open to learning because I know I’m beyond terrible at this game but I don’t even know how to start to get better. I mostly play action adventure or open world games so a racing game like this is completely new to me (I don’t think Mario Kart is the same vein). How do you even press all these buttons when your finger is on R2 to accelerate and your thumbs are on the analog sticks to direct your bike and keep your body weight forward? Do I keep my body weight mostly in front of the bike, especially when trying to turn? What is the difference between the crank and brakes game-wise (the front brake seems to be for powerful breaks and the back brake is much weaker).
Ive looked up YouTube videos for controls on how to play and any tips which hasn’t helped. Was gifted this game and am giving it a try but am getting destroyed.įirst race in career mode, I can barely do good turns without slowing to a half despite slowing down and my bike seems to be so slow that everyone simply speed past me.
